I have had a most unique life. I served as the one and only personal apprentice to Grandmaster Doo Wai and the White Tiger System from 1978 thru 1990. I was valet, dishwasher, runner, closed-door disciple, muscle, chief-instructor, house cleaner, healer, massage-therapist, and much more, all too numerous to mention on my friend Jim Lacy’s page.

My experiences have always been mind boggling. Part of those experiences are the iron forces, of which the iron palm I would like to mention. Even though I was the first Caucasian in the northern hemisphere to break the coconut with the iron palm technique, it was my lifelong friend and comrad that has taken the technique to new heights.

Jim Lacy is a most certified master of the iron palm technique in this, the 21st century. His mastery in this technique stands alone with the likes of Ku Yu Cheung. I would also like to profess my gratitude for his efforts in the way of bringing the history of the White Tiger System into the limelight.

Sure, I may have written the book (Sovereignty Within) but he, again, took it to higher heights. It is not only a long and eternal friendship that we share, but also a certain persistence and fortitude to bring the reality of kung-fu to all. His, in the way of the iron palm and documentation of materials…and mine in the way of the essence and root core of what lays at the heart of kung-fu; the esoteric, healing, meditation, power, purpose et cetera.

As part of the "Old Guard" (those that were involved in the system long before the political squabbles) and as a few of those that trained in the serious techniques for over a decade, … I will predict that together we will be a force unrivaled in the field of what authentic martial arts will do for those who seek the fullness of the human experience.
 

1963…….Began to look into Chinese culture; Cantonese speaking step-father.

1965…….Began religious training (Christian.)

1968…….Began esoteric experiences.

1977…….Family killed in house fire. I escaped and was a completely lost soul.

1978…….Found authentic kung-fu (my salvation). Began comparative religious studies and started kung fu. Began meditation and became a closed-door disciple.

1979…….Became apprentice in esoteric kung-fu training.

1980…….Became assistant instructor – trained day and night.

1984…….Recognized as, and realized mastery of many skills and techniques. I was named chief instructor.

1986…….Was the only person in history ever to do a cover article with an authentic White Tiger Grandmaster in the August 1986 issue of Karate/Kung-Fu Illustrated.

1990…….After almost 13 years I left to go out and explore my American roots, (heritage.)

1992…….Founded the "Sovereign White Tiger Association." 

1997…….Finished last addition to first book (began in 1978) entitled "Sovereignty Within."

1999…….Wrote first kung-fu novel entitled "Through The Eyes Of The Dragon."

2000…….Currently founding (O.A.B.A. : Ordo Ex Arcanus Bellicosus Artificium, "Order Of Esoteric Martial Arts." ):

This is a path of body, mind, soul and spirit training. It is only for those seeking enlightened truth and the ultimate of the kung-fu experience.
