"Clouds from Heaven #2"

(High level stationary iron palm coconut break meditation)

"The Simplest Is the Most Profound"

The hidden art of five elder kung fu; "take out the central nervous system in one to four moves." Other axioms that have become almost cliché are "root with your feet and fight with your hands," and finally "the iron palm coconut on the string break is the most lethal non-mechanical weapon ever devised and considered the "hidden art of kung fu."

This article is about one such piece of the puzzle of the "art within an art." This is a very simple meditation, but very profound in its effects to pull tremendous chi to the palms and fingertips. With a little imagination you will easily see how this one simple but high level iron palm meditation could be of benefit to healers. This includes self-massage. Doing this meditation is extremely strict and not many will be able to do it at all, let alone the traditional way that I am about to explain.

Traditional Procedure

Before you start this training, always consult your doctor (western and eastern medicine.) Remember that this is a relic from the past. The name of this high level meditation is "Clouds In Heaven #2." I refer to it as a very left brain (logic/practicality) standing meditation. By this I mean there are 4 separate levels of breath control sequence combinations to remember before you even start! In fact, within the four breath control sequences, are 7 numbers to remember, the proper place to do the "breath in between," and when and how many times to OM chant before you even start! Incredible stamina spiritually, mentally and physically are needed to even get to the point where you can finish this meditation by memory, holding the posture very still and keeping your eyes closed.

Instructions

Assume the posture in the photo #1. Take three relaxed deep breaths to start. Keep the mouth closed with the tongue on the roof of the mouth. Your feet are slightly wider than your shoulder, and your knees are slightly curled or 'bent.' After the few breaths in photo # 1, hold your arms out in the begging posture of photo #2.

Level #1 of four

Take a breath and let it all out. Next, take a breath and let 50% out. Take a full breath from that point and OM it out all the way slowly. Take a deep breath and swallow. Breath normal for five minutes.

Level #2 breath control

Right after the five minutes of regular breathing from the last point of level #1, go right into level #2. Take a breath and let 20% out. Take a full breath from that point and OM it all out. Repeat the deep breath and Om it all out, six more times for a total of 7 Oms.

Level #3 breath control

Take two relaxed full breaths to start. Take a breath and let 90% out. Take a full breath from that point and let it all out. Take a breath and let 50% out. Take a full breath from that point and Om it out. Continue to take six more subsequent breaths and OM them out for a total of 7 Oms.

Level #4 breath control

Right after the seventh OM in level #3, begin right away with level #4. Take a deep breath and let it all out. Next, take a breath and OM it out. Take six subsequent breaths and OM them out, for a total of seven Oms. Next, take a deep breath and let it all out. Take a breath and let 50% out. Take a full breath from that point and let it all out. Take a breath and let 20% out. Take a full breath from that point and let it all out. Take a breath and let 30% out. Take a full breath from that point and OM it out. Take six more subsequent breaths and OM out. Breath normal for awhile - (3 to 10 minutes.) After completing these levels #1 to #4, repeat the entire four level process in sequential order 7 more times!

Commentary

This 18 Daoist Palms high level "Shattering Palm Chi Kung" is simple but profound. The following dit da jow would be the ultimate for this iron palm meditation. I will share it for historical purposes only. No medical values claimed. Consult your western and eastern medical doctors as well as a licensed Chinese herbalist for any substitutions of ingredients, preparation procedures and any contraindications or known side effects. The list I will share is unchanged for over 300 years, thus the tiger bone and cow gallstones. A qualified herbalist can substitute these. When original ingredients were gathered in the past, this formula with its weights would cost $150 if you were lucky enough to find an herbalist to fill it. This is an external only dit da jow. Only a few drops need be rubbed into the hands prior to the meditations. A $150 package would make a half-gallon of very potent dit da jow.

Being an all-purpose iron palm type, it is also a strong padding formula. If you need more information on this or other suitable less expensive jows for these meditations, call me at (619) 766-9256.

The ingredients would soak in a glass wide mouth container (marked external only and dated.) The soaking medium can be a half-gallon of gin. Agitate occasionally. The jow must age at least six weeks before you can take 16 oz. out to use sparingly on the hands before the meditation. Keep the jow in a dark space to age. Keep away from children, pets, fire, excessive heat and mucous membranes. Discontinue if rash develops.

We pass this herbal list down to you for historical legendary purposes. It pulls bioelectricity levels higher on the hands for greater sensitivity. This sensitivity can be described as heat or tingling, but its purpose in helping you discover yourself from within yourself lies in the way it lets you trace the source of tension or fear. You correct or adjust, by using faith and courage. This contrast of feeling in balance again is remembered in muscle and psychic memory. In time, the correction process into perfect alignment with core source universal energy becomes sub-conscious reaction. We live in a world of contrast to better offer us "what feels best." Law of attraction is real. Thoughts are not subject to gravity. Spirit has substance despite scientists' struggle to find higher levels of math to weigh it. This is what makes prayer real. The entire universe communicates with itself through reflectivity process. Enjoy!

Conclusion

For those of you not familiar with Om, I will borrow a brief passage from the Encyclopedia Brittanica.

In Hinduism and other religions chiefly of India, a sacred syllable that is considered to be the greatest of all the mantras, or sacred formulas. The syllable Om is composed of the three sounds a-u-m (in Sanskrit, the vowels a and u coalesce to become o), which represent several important triads: the three worlds of earth, atmosphere, and heaven; the three major Hindu gods, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva; and the three sacred Vedic scriptures, Rg, Yajur, and Sama. Thus Om mystically embodies the essence of the entire universe. It is uttered at the beginning and end of Hindu prayers, chants, and meditation and is freely used in Buddhist and Jaina ritual also. From the 6th century, the written symbol designating the sound is used to mark the beginning of a text in a manuscript or an inscription.
The syllable is discussed in a number of the Upanishads, which are the texts of philosophical speculation, and it forms the entire subject matter of one, the Mandukya. It is used in the practice of Yoga and is related to techniques of auditory meditation. In the Puranas the syllable is put to sectarian use; thus the Saiva mark the lingam, or sign of Shiva, with the symbol for Om, whereas the Vaishnava identify the three sounds as referring to a trinity composed of Vishnu, his wife Shri, and the worshiper.

We claim no medical effects for this legendary jow. Consult your Western and Eastern doctors as well as a licensed herbalist. The formula is not cheap. It will cost about $150. Soak ingredients in a quart of gin for six months. Use with Tui Na massage techniques over heart and lung areas. Cow gallstones are the expensive ingredient. This is almost a dim mak antidote for a strike to the heart points. I could go much deeper into this subject but because of space considerations, this is enough to whet your appetites for more. Call me at (619) 766-9256 if you need more information or the formula filled. The page numbers relate to Bensky's Materia Medica.
