We are very excited to say we are steering our own course into martial art immortality. The Mew Hing 18 Daoist Palms System is one of the Five Elder arts. We possess large portions of White Tiger, White Eyebrow, Northern Shil Lum (Shaolin), Plum Flower Fist, Lowman Pai, Wing Chun, Lohan, Hainan Island, and many other indigenous arts. This is aside from the most secretive elder's, 18 Daoist Palms. Our iron palm types include Tibetan Lama Burning Palm, Shattering Palm, Mew Hing's Burning Palm, Springy Palm, Fire Palm and multiple levels of Coconut Breaking. Push Hands, Moving Meditations, Chi Kung and Weapons are a big part of our curriculum.

I have been the Grandmaster (Jung Shee) of the Mew Hing 18 Daoist Palms System since January of 1988. I am a member of Inside Kung Fu Magazine's Hall of Fame as 1989"Humanitarian of The Year." I am a member of The Brotherhood of the Knights of Heaven, World Martial Arts Hall Of Fame as "Pioneer of the Year".

I am honored to be an executive member (hand picked by Soke Sanchez the founder) of the prestigious World Head Of Family Sokeship Council, as well as Soke Ed Brown and his wife Fran Brown's Hall Of Fame, as 1997 "Grandmaster Of The Year." Professor Brown does the 16 brick break with no spacers or end supports. We are working together to produce nine Panther tapes on the nine levels of our 18 Daoist Palms Shattering Palm! We will only do one level per year. The W.H.F.S.C. is made up of over 130 of the world's top 9th and 10th Dans, Sokes and recognized Inheritors of Systems.

I am a member of Karate International's Who's Who in the Martial Arts Elite. I have authored over 66 major international martial art magazine articles. I had a cable television show called Take Five on martial arts in the early 1980's that was the first of its kind. Our audience even back then was over 300,000. Soon I will have CD's and DVD's with me re-reading the articles personally as well as having PDF files on disk of any forms or meditation photos. Movie files will also be available of 'blasts from the past,' footage of me doing cable TV, local TV and forms I filmed myself doing decades ago. There will also always be a steady flow of new material.

My humanitarian work in the field of martial arts has produced at least 35 television shows in San Diego. I have a Day In My Name from former Mayor Maureen O'Connor, whose husband founded Jack-In-The Box. Every Mayor of San Diego since Pete Wilson, (now California Governor) has awarded my community projects with commendations, resolutions and proclamations. My weekly column for the oldest military newspaper on the West Coast lasted weekly for ten years (from 1985 to 1995.) It could well be one of the first and longest on-going martial art columns in the country. Over 500 were penned and saved after being published. I have written 9 books that have sold out in first edition/first print. Since then I have decided to self publish using the popular PDF (Post Document File,) format. It is quick, easy and cheap. Last year I decided to write six herb books a year for at least as many years as I can. I mainly focus my writing these days for Tae Kwon Do Times, The Karate Voice and Action. The rest of the time I edit student productions and my own productions as I carry on my mission of documenting this vast amount of information.

The late American Kenpo Grandmaster Ed Parker was the first to help with my Senior Citizen Program by writing the introduction to my book Self Defense for Seniors, back in 1983.

I inherited my title, information and herbal formulas from Jung Shee Doo Wai, even though we had a fall out and I am not part of his organization.

We stand on our own and I am the sole authority of 18 Daoist Palms worldwide - period.

By the way, I was 1997 Florida Martial Arts Brotherhood's Hall Of Fame "WRITER OF THE YEAR." The nice plaque and certificate will go up in the martial arts museum. It was signed by Master Vassilios Katsaitis, Founder/Director of the Florida Hall Of Fame Martial Arts Brotherhood and Editor of The Karate Voice. I have since received awards regularly from this prestigious group since, including becoming a Board Member at the 2001 awards. Grandmaster Frank Sanchez of the World Head of Family Sokeship Council, Grandmaster Vincent Marchetti, Founder of Michi - Budo Ryu and Grandmaster Jim Arvanitis, Founder of Mu Tau Pankration are just a few of many signers to organizations I belong to. I am a regular columnist for Sijo Al Goldberg's Action Martial Arts Magazine out of Brooklyn, New York. I am also #11 in the first Action Martial Art Master's Series of 36 legendary Martial Art Masters.

We use the same ranking system that Mew Hing himself passed down for 18 Daoist Palms in the 1600's. It is a 15 year course to Master Shi Fu. In modern times we use high technology as a tool to reach out with this valuable information to people that otherwise would have no way to go up the ranks under an Authentic Five Elder Grandmaster. I am available by phone directly throughout your training. I get to know each individual personally this way. In modern times we let the individual pick and choose their own curriculum. As my friend American Kenpo Grandmaster Ed Parker was fond of saying, "why try and fit everyone in a size 44?" I think you get the picture. And besides, have you ever seen 18 Daoist Palms System's partial (40%) catalog? We have more information in that 40% than anyone would be able to put a dent in, in a lifetime.

As you know, there are a billion Catholics and a billion Protestants (about 300 denominations). If you add the Islamic at 1 billion and all sects of Judaism; what you have is the Old Testament that they all share in common similarity. Now folks, that's over half the planet's population. Jesus' mother Mary was very much from the House of David. As martial artists we inevitably ask, why not a Chinese Joseph and Mary? Answer; at the time, the Levant held the monotheistic concept of One God. This One God concept was saved from obscurity through the efforts of The High Priest or Melchizedek. Melchizedek taught out of Salem - now called Jerusalem, 4,000 years ago.

Abraham gave 10% of his money from battles to Melchizedek as a tithe. What makes Taoism attractive to us to learn about, aside that our art is partially rooted in it, is the fact that Lao's teachings included much of the Salem gospel. Remember, Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism came way after Judaism. Just an historic fact, no judgment. "A wise man can learn from a fool, but a fool cannot learn from a wise man." Pick what is useful and disregard the rest. Cultivate creativity and your own unique personalities. The truth is always living and must be "creatively" utilized in the 'here and now' according to the customs, mores and traditions of the times. You that have stayed loyal subscribers to this Five Elder Journal are 'special.' Time will tell what fruit you bear. The reason you are with me is because you recognize valor, courage and faith. As important as these teachings are, they are useless if I have not taught you that happiness is a duty and not a destiny.

Many of you will not have access to a good Chinese herb shop in your area. You can order herbs from us. We charge $155 for processing an order. Our $155 orders are for five packages of ingredients fresh from my herbalist of 17 years. Each package makes a 'strong' half gallon, and consists of 26 ingredients. We give you the names and weights with the ingredients. I travel 150 miles round-trip to get you fresh herbs from my herbalist. I have been going to him and his family's shop for over 17 years.
