From the back of the photo - "From left: Tillie Dahl,Bennie on his Dad's (Jens Dahl) lap, Pete Dahl, Bennie's Mother, Alvin Meinstad, Mrs. Halvon Meinstad holding Bertha, Back row: Andrew Dahl, Tom Meinstad, Ole Meinstad and Halvon Meinstad." This picture was taken in Minnesota in the Winter before Jens Dahl came to North Dakota. Bennie is about 22 months and Pete is 6 years old."

"This is the oldest family photo I have. It is a late 70's photocopy my dad made me from the original. My father died in a Naval Veterans Hospital in Chula Vista around August 1991. This is a photo from 1901. It is a photo of my great-grandfather and my great-grandmother in the middle row seated together with my great-grandmother's sister to the right of her. The sister is holding her baby and her three brothers are behind her. The top row standing on the left is my great-grandfather's brother. The bottom of the photo shows my grandmother next to her younger brother Benny who ended up a Marine in World War One. Dahl was the family name back then and Meinstad. The family took this photo in Minnesota before they settled in North Dakota. The three brothers grew up on a ranch near Minot, North Dakota. The three brothers went to an all Indian school. My grandfather Marion Lacy was a railroad engineer. The name Lacy can be traced back to Ireland. It got to Ireland via Hugo De Lacy. Hugo was a top general of Norman King William and had 50 knights under him in the Battle of Hastings in 1066, William and Hugo and their men conquered the British Isles from Saxon King Harold. Hugo was the first constable of Dublin.

In a side note: Other Lacy family members were Pavio De Lacy who was Queen Isabel'stop general, and Count Von Graf Lacy. The latter was born of Irish descent in St. Petersburg, Russia and educated in Germany. He helped re-vamp Maria Teresa's Austrian army.

The name Lacy is sometimes spelled Lacey. Lacy is an Old French rooted name that back then was called De Lassey. It roughly translates as 'Prince."

I share these parts of my past and will share more in time. It gives me a chance to use the web to show my home study students some of the great people that helped make me the successful warrior/priest I am today. I am a combination of English (Grew), Irish (Lacy), Italian (Tortorici), French (Coulter), German (Dahl and Meinstad), and some Scotch in there through the Grew bloodline.

I urge all of you to celebrate that all the colored races come from the same tribe around 200,000 years ago. Read the Urantia Book off the Links section of my site for another view of things. I call it the censor for science, religion and philosophy to help lead us to living a life 'of' instead of talking a life 'about.' This is done through becoming enlightened. It comes when one can walk the "I am," Moses was referring to. Keep it real. Celebrate our diversity and most importantly, our similarities above differences. One God, One Planet, One People! And so there is no ambiguity, as I have said before... "Jesus is the only true Master," for me personally, but I love the separation of church and state that allows all of us to be free to pursue religions and philosophies of a multitude of variety. I just share my story!"
