• Note: Grandmaster (Jung Shee) James Patrick Lacy leads the worldwide exposure to Five Elder information on a professional and large scale basis with his 17 best selling Century/Panther instructional video tapes on Five Elder Monk Mew Hing's 18 Daoist Palms System of Southern Chinese Kung Fu.

*I learned these forms from my former teacher at my old home in San Diego in the late 80's. I wrote a book on one version of the three core forms around 1995. The original manuscript I no longer have, albeit I was able to photocopy one of the three forms; I am including the second form called 'Sinking Bridge,' and a special illustrated version of the wooden dummy form. On Sinking Bridge, I use plain English and universal nomenclative jargon to articulate only the essence of each move. Because this is a photocopy of a photocopy, use the magnifier and where you cannot see my hand, go with the caption and you will easily be able to learn this rare form. For those of you familiar with Wing Chun, more power to you; for those that are black belt equivalent in other arts, merely use the basics you were taught to make the form 'your own' so to speak. For you Kenpo folks, think of Finger Set. Add this to your repertoire and use Kenpo basics to break down all the moves in forward and reverse motion. The same can apply to any person wanting to learn this. It helps to get to green or brown belt in an art so that when cross-training in a custom form, one can keep synchronicity and focus on similarities of universal basics. Get my first three Panther tapes if you want good basics. Always get your doctor's permission before beginning this or any exercise program, and obey all laws. There are many qualified Wing Chun instructionals on the market that can take you deeper and help you to better appreciate the five elder lineage of this version.

Grandmaster Lacy's new 7 CD series will show you 24 Standing Stationary Meditations for the Iron Palm training. These 24 are done at the correct and proper pace so you can actually learn what it is like to do them for the full time required for results. Front and side views are given as well as the finer points of these type of Qi Gong explained thoroughly. Martial applications and ging force transfer are also shared. The final CD contains two complimentary high level (never let out,) 'Punching Impact Meditations.' These later include Golden Lotus Flower, and Carp Jumping In Water.

Each CD is 400 to 600 megs average and utilizes mpeg-1 high quality. There are four meditation per CD except for the seventh CD which has the (2) more complicated Punching Impact Standing Moving Meditations. All the meditations in this series use a stationary horse - no footwork. Each CD is $60. To distribute a CD is $100. Distributorship to 3 CD's is $250. Distribution for all 7 CD's is $600. • I truly believe the 18 Daoist Palms' White Tiger Meditations for chi cultivation and mental clarity should finish up where I left off on the Panther tapes. For instance; Panther got 14 of the 18 seated meditations. I have since filmed the other four meditations. Let me remind you there are 72 of these meditations of this particular type for chi cultivation and mental clarity. The first 18 are seated, second 18 are standing, third 18 standing moving and the final 18 are referred to as the 18 '32' (move sequence).

Mew Hing Productions now has the 18 standing moving of these series on CD .wmv (Windows Media Video,) files. The 18 standing moving meditations average 3 per CD, or almost an hour.

Because the last 18 that complete the 72 meditations are so complex with hand movements, each of these 18 will require a CD each! Hopefully the last 18 '32' sequence that complete the 72 meditations in this series will be finished by the end of 2004.
• Note: As a multitask project, Grandmaster Lacy will be filming a special 3 CD series on the rare 25 standing iron palm meditations. One really benefits from seeing these actually 'taught,' in a way that the total novice or expert will benefit from. There is no substitute for seeing the correct meditation breath sequence, posture and moves themselves being done at the 'real' speed you will need to emulate.
