I am writing to tell of my most recent No Hold's barred fighting event victory. The event this year was held in Mississippi and was a one night tournament, unlike the year before when it was a two-night event. The fighters this year were mostly grapplers and a lot bigger in body size than last year. I trained very hard up until the event, incorporating 15 minutes of Iron palm training per day along with grab bag and roller bar. I did 20 minutes of meditation every morning as well as 20 minutes mid day and 20 minutes per night. My gym training consisted of around 2 hours per day working each body part 2 times per week. I was eating around 5,000 calories per day consisting of 350 - 400 grams of protein per day and around 30 grams of fat. This year I weighed in at 255 pounds with 9 % body fat. My only fall back was that my endurance was not as great as I wanted it to be due to not having time to incorporate enough cardio training into my routine. I had a lot more power to my strikes as the trade off for endurance. All of my forms and stances were done holding dumbbells, which resulted in a stronger base and being able to root myself more effectively. My kicks were all low lying kicks below the chest and practiced with heavy-duty ankle weights as well as using light dumbbells when practicing my punches. This year I trained with many sparring partners allowing them to wear full gear. I had no protection at all which simulated the real fight scene much better. I would have my training partners hit different areas of my body while I focused my energy to the spot being hit and also used a dynamic tension technique to deflect the hits being thrown to my body. This type of training makes the body much more tolerant to strikes and kicks being thrown at you. As far as the grappling holds; I also used the same techniques to resist the holds, which meant the holds put on me were not very effective, if effective at all in some cases. I was promised no more than 3 fights but as I expected I had 4 fights by the end of the tournament. My status for the night was two knockouts and 2 submissions. I am saying once again that; that was my last fight. My main reason for entering again this year was the fact I had a few people screaming I just got lucky the first year. By winning this year I proved to all concerned that 2 years straight was more than mere luck. Now my plans are to teach our ancient art to worthy people and enjoy my family from this point on. I owe my victory once again to James Lacy for all of his expert instruction in the arts as it has changed my way of fighting 100%.
