"I have recently, in the last couple of months, created a 5 CD series on the rare, never let out, meditations that pick up where Panther leaves off. These are the 18 Daoist Palms' White Tiger Standing Moving Meditations for Chi Cultivation and Mental Clarity. Each CD teaches three meditations. I do regular speed, show side views and martial applications with ging. Breath control, posture explanation and finer points are covered. These sell for $60 each. If you want distribution rights to all 5, the price is $350. These are me filming, teaching, and editing to CD data disks and the file extensions are .wmv. All those wishing to buy the distributorships must call me direct at 619-766-9256. You must be 21.

About This Section Of Our Site

This section of our site is dedicated to bringing you a convenient way of ordering our tapes. Some would say we are truly home quality at best and over priced. These people need to consider the fact that the 'substance' is second to none. If it is iron palm you want Lacy is the last word. We want to emphasize that Jung Shee can certify those that qualify in the material they send in on video after one year from the time of their order. Only those that order direct from Jung Shee Lacy will be able to have his signature on any successful home study video submission. The neat part is you get to pick your own curriculum! You make the art, not the other way around. Another feature is that Jung Shee Lacy is available by e-mail or phone throughout your training. Furthermore if and when a student becomes certified to teach and certify others, they can be coached into business avenues of entrepreneurship through the very rare iron palm martial niche…certified by the undisputed 'best.'

We are starting 'the on-line shop' with ten selected production instructional videos. Yours truly is in the process of learning the ins and outs of digitizing old footage, working with digital camcorders and very slowly learning digital editing. So far I have learned to digitize old vhs, 8mm and high-8. I can get fairly good clean cuts and know how to remove sound and 'tweak' sound volume on certain clips. I am not there yet on titling, so I merely type out the titles on the computer to print out and film. Me working with bells and chimes are the extent of special audio effects. Home study is a 'process.' The journey is the fun. As I pioneer doing all these things, it gives me more to share later on when some students will want to produce with me or learn the business end of manufacturing the instructional products.

I will say that if you are looking for Panther or Warner Brothers type productions, these tapes are not for you. On the other hand if you are looking for the nuts and bolts of authentic Five Elder Kung Fu from a legitimate Grandmaster and his students, then you found the right source. All in all I am proud of what the students have learned to produce. These are the pioneer first generation of 18 Daoist Palms, offering unusually high lineage information that is not found anywhere else. This is the official supply store site of 18 Daoist Palms.

I make all the orders by hand. Supply stores wanting my instructionals in mass quantity, must call me personally. We only use the duplication center for certain titles, about a dozen. As of late (2003) we have limited our use of the duplication center to large orders only to supply stores. No orders under 100 tapes! All of our series 3 offerings are filled personally. I only use NTSC and anything over two hours I use slp or 6 hour play mode. Make sure your machine can play these! I also can put titles on CD Video utilizing Windows Movie Maker. I save at the highest setting the software allows and at a full 30 frames per second. The size is 320x240. CD lasts, and it plays on most computers worldwide without special formatting. I can get three to four video instructionals on one CD. I hand label each tape custom for the purchaser. Call me personally with any questions about DVD or other issues concerning series 3 offerings." Grandmaster James Patrick Lacy / 18 Daoist Palms." May 22, 2003

#3000 - 18 Daoist Palms' Five Dragon Ba Qua Staff Solo Form (Order)
Here is the 18 Daoist Palms' Five Dragon Ba Qua Staff Solo Form done both sides with finishing moves and narration. It is done as a 'demonstration,' so that interested individuals can see a sample of what they will learn in much more detail from our 90 minute video where I teach a female student much smaller how to do the solo and two-person form. We cover angles and breakdowns on that tape and the cost of the tape is $70. This clip was filmed at 15 fps at poorest quality using Windows XP Movie Maker. The reason was to keep the download under a meg. It is a great freebie and over five minutes long! Because the full version of the form and two-person runs 90 minutes, this tape costs $70 instead of our normal $60 price. On the instructional video I purposefully show how to teach a novice for the first time who happens to be a woman and much smaller. For this reason it is a great tape for novice as well as instructors looking for teaching tips."

18 Daoist Palms Instructional Video Tapes For Home Study Certification, (optional)

#3001 - 18 Daoist Palms' 'Tibetan Lama Burning Palm' Levels #4 - #7. (Order)
This is a rare type of iron palm picked up from the five elders in Tibet. These levels we offer pick up where our tapes with Panther www.panthervideos.com leave off. Our 9 year tested home study student/Black Dragon Shi Hing Larry Matheny takes you though these higher levels. You do not need the first three levels to start and benefit from these, albeit later on if you wish you could collect the first three. We try not to be redundant with other tapes we have done of a more elementary nature. This tape shows different angles and contains great teaching of breakdowns. The Tibetan Lama Burning Palm is done with chi kung and herbs. This is a non-striking type of iron palm meant to disrupt soft spots on the opponents' body to 'disrupt' chi. Lohon Matheny covers levels 4, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b and level #7. You will see front and (2) side views. Good narration of the procedure and finer points. This is a great iron palm type for healers or travelers who cannot carry striking equipment. These take very little space and average 10 minutes each. You will learn the way our breath control sequence combinations work. All the moves in the meditations have fighting applications. These are good for health and self defense, instead of just health. My intro was filmed at night with the fan on, so it is a bit 'snowy,' however the sound and narration to put everything in perspective is fine. Lohon Henson did some nice graphics and I added to the intro titles some of my filmed titles. Tape time is about 1 hour and 5 minutes.

#3002 - 18 Daoist Palms' 'Tibetan Lama Burning Palm' Levels #8 - #9. (Order)
By the time you get to this tape you are familiar with breath control, procedure finer points and the doing of the forms with the eyes closed. Larry had a martial background before he joined our home study program 9 years ago as of 2001. He is college educated with degrees. The acting courses he took give him a certain 'stage presence' of excitement for his work that indeed becomes contagious. He has a way of adding great excitement of the ambiance of learning high lineage five elder 18 Daoist Palms. This tape finishes you up on the levels #8 and #9. My intro was filmed a bit 'snowy' and it was night with the fan on. Nevertheless the audio is clear and its 'ok.' Darren's graphics once again blend with my filmed printed titles, and almost all the productions feature very creative artwork by one of our students in Kentucky, Bill Adams. Bill and his son are featured together with Lohon Matheny in our advanced Iron Body instructional. This tape will also have (2) Flying Phoenix Heavenly Healing Chi Level #2 Standing Moving Meditations for health and self-defense. These include: 'Wind Among The Treetops,' and 'Golden Phoenix.' Larry shows footage of his first documented level #1 (ground) coconut break. I show footage of me demonstrating the burning palm slap through two phonebooks on my assistant during a 1990 city wide recognized martial arts show for the homeless that I coordinated. A short televised clip of a similar demonstration on another student, and me getting awards from the State Legislature representative Jeff Marston. The tape finishes with my 'trademark' two minutes of coconut breaks to music. Tape time: 43 minutes.

#3003 - 18 Daoist Palms' Mew Hing Burning Palm 'Sone Tan,' Levels #1 - 4. (Order)
Black Dragon (first,) Larry Matheny takes you through this higher level of 'burning palm.' These 7 levels are sometimes referred to as 8 levels due to the extra breath control sequence on the last level. The original 7 levels were valued at 'historically' $20,000! There are different striking procedures for each level and (2) meditations per level. Larry's usual meticulousness with conveying 'details' is what makes his tapes so great. He lives like a monk with his cats and works at the post office. A simple but profound man that shows just how good you can get in our home study within a small crowded apartment. My intro is a bit grainy…the night shooting, hot summer fans on dilemma. No big deal. Substance rules! This tape also shows my burning palm demos and two minutes of breaks. Tape time: 1 hour and 12 minutes.

#3004 - 18 Daoist Palms' Mew Hing Burning Palm 'Sone Tan,' Levels 5 - 7. (Order)
This tape has a nice start. Enjoy some of Bill Adams' artwork. See some 'blast from the past' photos of me receiving an award from the then Mayor of San Diego, as well as a photo of then senatorial candidate and former Governor of California. I spent over a decade putting back into the community with public service using martial arts as the vehicle of expression. You will see other awards of mine, including Regents awards, Prof. Ed and Fran Brown Hall of Fame awards, USMA awards and a Silver Lifetime Achievement award from Action Martial Arts Magazine. My intro was filmed on a hot night with the fan on in my front room. The footage is a bit dim in lighting, but my 'spiel' is the usual substance packed nuts and bolts. I put a bonus on this tape of Black Dragon Shi Hing Matheny 'demonstrating' Earthquake Tiger Fist Form and the Advanced Iron Body Form. I left the sound in. The 'substance' of this tape is Larry's excellent teaching of 18 Daoist Palms' 'Sone Tan' Burning Palm Levels #5 - #7. Expect different angles of view and good explanations of the moves, including martial applications. I reiterate the finer points of understanding the concept of 'breath control percentage sequence combinations,' and at the end you will see my burning palm demo and two minutes of coconut breaking to music. Remember that these more advanced types of burning palm also come with striking procedures that are different for each level as well as two Sone Tan fighting standing moving burning palm iron palm meditations that are for health and self defense! Tape time: 59 minutes.

#3005 - 18 Daoist Palms' 'Coconut Breaking Demonstrations Tape.' (Order)
This is a great tape. My night shot intro is grainy due to low light and the fan on, but ok as far as being able to understand me as I set the tone and finer points of the video. This tape is past footage put together of me and some of my many students. The footage is totally different than what we showed on Panther Productions tape #6. There are occasional frame drops, but too minute to effect the substance. See my student Kimberly Williams, a teenager…break at a tournament. See footage of my 8 breaks without a support hand at the Lindo Lakes Classic Martial Arts Tournament around 1991. The break demonstration tape opens with my representative in Mexico doing a variety of breaks he took on home footage. See beautiful mountain backdrop of Mexico City. This is a very insightful tape that looks at different students with different backgrounds, body types and preferences in breaking. Tape time: 1 hour and two minutes.

#3006 - 18 Daoist Palms' 'Shaky/Vibrating Palm Levels #1 - #4. (Order)
I first exposed the 'Vibrating Palm' with Panther Productions. It was a stand-alone singular standing moving meditation entitled 'Monk Begging For Rice.' This is the meditation that sparked an interest in the vibrating palm as it was used in our Scientific Analysis of Chi Kung Tape in our Panther Dim Mak series as well. I personally learned a series of 14 of these from my former teacher. The series of 14 are from the 18 Daoist Palms System. On this tape one of our Colorado State Representatives, Shi Fu Bill Johnson takes you through the first four of the 14. We will eventually cover all 14 in this particular series. I might note that we also have a series of videos by Sovereign White Tiger Master Vincent James Pepper that cover a series of (9) more from the Sovereign White Tiger System that are now part of our 18 Daoist Palms collection of material. Start with these four that Bill offers. When I learned these myself for the first time in the late 80's at my former teacher's house, Vince was living there at the time and learned some of these with me. After going through them and considering that my chi was already highly developed, I was able to document on video moving a hanging lantern after a few minutes of intense focus. Nothing to write home about, but my student who was told to watch, and was there with Vince and I was able to see the lantern move ever so slightly. The vibrating palm is a type of iron palm chi projection. I felt this technique move liquids in my stomach when my former teacher demonstrated on me for the first time without making contact and from about six inches away. What makes 18 Daoist Palms so special are all the myriad of iron palm types we have that were saved and passed down to the five elders. Not all types require striking procedures. Bill does an excellent job on teaching these, giving insights and breakdowns. These are great for health and self-defense. My intro is good and there is a sprinkling of artwork and 'blast from the past' photos plus my two minutes of coconut breaking to music. Tape time: 60 minutes.

#3007 - 18 Daoist Palms' 'White Hair Fist' Push Hand Two-Person Forms #1 - #3. (Order)
This tape is one of my favorites. The internal iron palm level #1 coconut break came with a short two-person push hands form my former teacher taught me personally. I usually don't let it out. I thought offering 18 Daoist Palms' White Hair Fist (White Eyebrow) push hand two-person forms #1 - #3 would be a more comprehensive tape. The first two I shared in photos in articles I penned for Kung Fu/Qigong Magazine with my lawyer student of over ten years, Mike Burke. The third two-person form of this series is the longest and gets into grappling reversals and set-ups from push hands. The third two-person form is lengthy. The first two are upright hand orientated while the third two-person form requires some 'groundwork' unless modified. Grandmaster Brian Adams of Integrated Martial Arts first learned these direct from the source in 1971 while learning mostly weapons as a 'balance.' My student Lohon Thomas Keen and two of his students David and Susanna Grey do an excellent job of going through the three two-person push hand forms meticulously, using different angles and showing the martial spin-off applications to all the moves. Quite simply this is the highest lineage push hand two-person forms tape with five elder lineage you will find. Push hands are a great complementally sensitivity application to better understand the myriad of uses with a conditioned iron hand. I published a book with all three forms 'illustrated' in booklet form. Our Kentucky Rep. Bill Adams generously did an excellent job on the illustrations. Tape time: 60 minutes.

#3008 - 18 Daoist Palms' 'Fire From Heaven Chi - Fire Palm,' Levels #1- #3. (Order)
People wonder about 'legendary' price valuation placed on much of the material I inherited. Perhaps what the monks were referring to is the amount a rich merchant would pay one of the legendary five elder lineage grandmasters for the privilege of being able to learn rare family heirloom extremely high-level kung fu iron palm types. Just because the coconut on the string break is referred to as the 'hidden art of kung fu,' and "the most lethal non-mechanical weapon ever devised,"…my former teacher's words, nevertheless, these other rare types of iron palm are not to be underestimated in their ability to 'enhance' the overall experience of true iron palm five elder lineage. I personally like to 'blend' the different types and am not shy to alter the training using common sense in modern times. Something is better than nothing. I have noticed results in this type as being pertinent to rapid delivery of the tell tale 'heat' to the hand. This rapid 'feeling,' jump starts what I call 'the startling force.' You see, after many years of training, I can at will summon muscle memory heat/chi sensations to any part of my body, but since I am an iron palm specialist…especially my hands. The sensation of chi is like the feeling of having a 'missile defense' around your hands. The technique at its highest level according to legend enabled the practitioner to ignite objects from a distance starting with small pieces of paper and working up. In an alley life or death brawl you won't be intimidating 15 thugs with finding a piece of paper to ignite. On the other hand if one were to even just achieve more chi and control of it in the hands, imagine how it may be of interest to folks that do healing work with their hands or those that want to add ambiance to the other types of iron palm they have studied. According to legend there is some sexual abstinence involved (not much,) plus a tofu/bak choy soup diet with occasional other ingredients with rice. Since the training is lengthy (hours) per day and requires herbs that cool the body from over heating, or self igniting…(remember this is legend and the arts are based on metaphysic logic or what we Westerners call psuedo-science,) I suggest this is one type of iron palm you may want to modify in modern times. Can you believe these 7 levels were once valued at $15,000,000? Those were six zeros! Now using that logic, imagine what just my partial 40% catalog listed on our other site at www.ironpalm.com would be 'legendarily' worth? Lohon Earl Cranor takes you step by step through this fascinating series of Buddhist Shil lum Fire Palm relic levels #1 - #3. My intro is a bit dark or grainy, due to being shot at night with my overhead fan on, but the intro is great and does set the proper tone of perspective for the rest of the material presented. Earl adds a bonus Flying Phoenix Heavenly Healing Chi Level #2 Standing Meditation called 'Monk Holding The Pearl.' See me flat bench without warm-up or spotter, 300 pounds. Ending has burning palm demo and my two minutes of breaks to music. Tape time: 1 hour 8 minutes.

#3009 - 18 Daoist Palms' Fire From Heaven Chi - Fire Palm,' Levels #4 - #6. (Order)
Lohon Cranor takes you through levels #4 - #6. Technically there is one more level to the complete fire palm, however we are not letting it out at this time. My intro is the usual night shoot in the front room with the fan on. My intros always are 'ok' and are really needed to introduce the players, substance we are presenting and how to put it all into perspective. I reiterate how our unique way of triggering chi called 'breath control' works. This tape does have Earl showing you the moves to levels #4 - #6 with his usual excellent narration of the finer points. Some 'bonus' material that compliments this tape include Lohon Richard Ebbrecht sharing two high level 18 Daoist Palms standing moving meditations from a series of eighteen. The two Richard shares are 'Lotus Position,' and 'Monk Carrying The Water.' These are numbers 15 and 16 of the series of eighteen. Earl adds a meditation from the 'Flying Phoenix Heavenly Healing Chi Level 2 Standing Meditations entitled 'Bending The Bows.' The ending shows my burning palm demo…don't try it, and my subliminal two minutes of breaks to music. We are specialists in iron palm and like to remind folks that the coconut on the string break, and even level 1 ground breaks are 'our' idea of what the true litmus of iron palm efficiency should be about. It is these very rare alternative types of iron palm with each of their uniqueness that add to the overall ambiance of real iron palm training. Also I put my 300-pound flat bench press with no warm-up or 'spotter,' to subliminally encourage any boxer or iron pal master to have sufficient brute strength in the upper chest. This added power enhances the roller bar, grab bag…or unstoppable punch/inner iron forearm and iron claw training. Tape time: 59 minutes.

#3010 - 18 Daoist Palms' Internal Iron Palm Coconut Break Level #1 Standing Moving Meditations #3 - #8. (Order)
I have this tape listed as number ten, but in my opinion this is the first tape anyone who has Panther Productions 'Laying The Foundation' tapes numbers 1,2,3,5,6,7 and 10 should get. If there was anything profound I learned in my mastery of level one internal iron palm coconut breaking, it was to never underestimate the importance of the complete series of level #1 coconut break moving meditations. Long after the hand conditioning, it is the meditations that carry the day, as well as breaking coconuts monthly to gain fresh insights over the years and gain first hand knowledge as to how the iron palm meditations not only keep you healthy and teach you great subconscious fighting moves with the iron palm, but also help enable to break on a higher level than mere 'procedure' training alone or 'blending' other types of meditations that are not strictly part of the level 1 ground breaks, or our five elder martial lineage. Lohon Michael Styles presents the material very well for the iron palm coconut break fighting standing moving meditations #3 - #8 that Panther Productions did not get. If you wish to collect the tapes that will benefit this one, go to www.panthervideos.com. When the flags of different countries come up, click on the Chinese flag. We pop up as #1…18 Daoist Palms. You may also notice while there, that we control two categories in their on-line catalog, iron palm and dim mak! Remember that all our material listed on this site is material that Panther does not have. This site is where you will find the higher-level iron palm and other five elder related materials. We are home quality/best substance and available to more people around the world because we can make our tapes in over a dozen different country electrical currents! I do a seated meditation #1 of 18 that are for chi cultivation and mental clarity as a bonus. The meditations #3 - #8 that lohon styles shares are older than Ching Dynasty Tai Chi Chuan. These are specifically iron palm coconut break level #1 meditations. They are shorter to learn and easier to remember than Tai Chi Chuan and just as good or better for health and self defense. Michael takes you through these with excellent execution of the moves and very dynamic interpretations of the myriad of fighting applications of the individual movements. An added bonus on the tape is footage of Michael demonstrating our 18 Daoist Palms' White Tiger Eight Centerline Staff Solo form…both sides and ending moves. Lohon Henson put some artistic graphics in this tape. My two minutes of breaks are at the end. You may see an occasional dropped frame in mosaic or black, however it is rare and does not affect the substance. Tape time: 1 hour and 2 minutes.

Nar Jar Fist is an 18 Daoist Palms System of Kung Fu ‘Secret Fighting Form.’ This is a challenging form but very effective. Being Five Elder it maintains waist high kicking, but a roll and ground sweep are in the form. This is a fast/internal fighting form. Angles, speed variations and practical applications are shared. The beauty of this tape is that it also contains the rare 18 Daoist Palms’ ‘Springy Force Hard/Soft’ Hay Gung (6) that include water and other striking methods for the levels. These are part of the ‘startling force’ or ‘springy force’ curricula once valued at $6000 each! $60

#3016 - 18 Daoist Palms’ White Tiger Standing Moving Meditations 1 – 3 of 18, Tape 1 (order)
In the first few of my 17 Panther/Century tapes, I shared 14 seated meditations for chi cultivation and mental clarity. In our “Chi Kung for Computer Users Part 1,” I shared all 18, including the four Panther did not get that had hand movements. This new production is a bit different in that for the first time on video you can see some of the 18 standing moving meditations that Panther did not get. There are 72 meditations for chi cultivation and mental clarity in this one series. Eighteen are seated, 18 standing, 18 standing moving and the 18 ‘32’ sequence standing with hand movements. This first tape will cover meditations 1 to 3 of the standing moving never let out. I do these myself for the beginner to advanced full length of time. Side angles and fighting applications as well as theory on how these improve faith and courage plus mental clarity and fighting applications are covered. This will be a six tape series on the 18 standing moving. $60

#3017 - New Production of Mew Hing’s 18 Daoist Palms ‘Snake Fist’ (order)
This ‘Snake Fist’ is one of many secret forms in the 18 Daoist Palms System. We have training forms, ‘core’ forms, secret forms and super secret forms. Beyond super secret forms are what you don’t see listed in our 40% catalog. This is a realistic Snake Fist fighting form, not to be confused with ‘modern Shaolin.’ This form is authentic Five Elder lineage. While there are some moves that require limberness, it adheres to five elder principles of “root with the feet and fight with the hands.” Applications are explained and various angles shown. $60

#3018 - New Production of Mew Hing’s 18 Daoist Palms’ White Tiger Dim Mak (2) Stationary Fighting Forms (order)
This is our latest production that is one of the best we have done on dim mak. These are ‘real’ five elder 18 Daoist Palms’ White Tiger Dim Mak Fighting Forms. These pick up where Panther leaves off. The classical original breakdowns (over 20,) are shown and many other applications narrated. These are the finest hand forms for dim mak fighting you will find. Depending on how you count a ‘move’ I guess these average 175 moves each! These are worse than Wing Chun, meaning that they are totally stationary! It is assumed you are in a very tight quarters combat where stationary and placement principles of efficiency play into a myriad of hand strike arsenals that truly utilizes all the seven star iron forces, including the conditioned claw, bridge, hand and elbow. We have older versions of these (2) 18 Daoist Palms’ White Tiger Dim Mak Fighting Forms in our series #3 that go for $60 each. This is a 30 minute tape with no fluff. Both forms included for $100. Featuring Lohon Adam Bottorff and his assistant. $100

#3020 - New Production of Mew Hing’s 18 Daoist Palms’ Tai Chi Chuan “Single Moon Ascending to Heaven” (order)
This new production is currently on CD video. We have two other versions of the same form on VHS as well. This is the oldest remaining Tai Chi Chuan from Five Elder lineage and was invented by Mew Hing himself. Later around 1895, other five elder arts incorporated it into their systems. #3021 - New Production: Grandmaster Brian Adams’ Integrated Martial Arts first Black Belt Test filmed December 7, 2002 (order)
I filmed this three and a half hour production myself using three cameras at Grandmaster Adams’ test at Richard’s school in San Diego by the Sports Arena. Grandmaster Linekin was present as were many distinguished martial arts masters; all sitting in as witnesses and judges of the first class of black belts in Brian’s Integrated Martial Arts (IMA). See this hard working group who drove hundreds of miles over a long period of time to test under Brian, a first generation Black Belt of Ed Parker’s, former student of Dan Inosanto and Bruce Lee and author of The Medical Implications of Karate Blows. Brian was certified in White Tiger back in the early 70’s! This footage shows what the culmination of over 40 years in the arts has led to as far as a very effective system and unique black belt testing. This production comes on two VHS videos and or CD video (Windows Movie Maker,) 320 x 240 at 30 fps. The CD version goes for $60 and the VHS (two tapes in sp mode) go for $100. $100

#3023 - New Production: Archived Isshin Ryu Weapons by 18 Daoist Palms Shi Fu John Cox 2(order)
This tape spins off into the main weapons John picked up in Isshin Ryu, including the staff and Sai. While there are differences in staff principles from art to art, it is rewarding to look for the universal similarities. I included some of myself in the video doing Five Elder weapons and even have Lohon Cranor in the footage showing the rare Plum Flower Solo Gim Form! $60

#3026 - Chi Kung for Computer Users Part 2 - CD or Video(order)
This is a two hour production of Grandmaster Lacy demonstrating the 18 standing meditations for chi cultivation and mental clarity. What makes this unique is that you will see each standing meditation done from the beginner speed of two and a half minutes, to advanced at five minutes. Some go even longer. Shot in the low desert, the tape offers insights into the finer points of ‘why’ and ‘how’ these classic meditations work in modern times to build faith and courage and a strong clear mind. Originally all 18 were filmed as one long workout. To bring the point home that these were practical for computer users, I do one of the meditations by my office computer. We have this on CD video or VHS. $60
